Kentec LD-WL8-OV Wireless Lockdown Voice Annunciator and VAD

LD-WL8-OV is a Wireless Voice Annunciator with visual indication for use on Kentec wireless lockdown systems. LD-WL8-OV is compatible with the Kentec Wireless Lockdown Translator and Expander modules. Each LD-WL8-OV will be allocated an address on the wireless translator between 21 and 126.

The LD-WL8-OV is used to provide audible notifications in relation to a lockdown scenario, when activated the device will provide clear voice messages and a flashing white indication.

Three messages can be configured within the LD-WL8-OV for different lockdown conditions - Lockdown initiated message, Covert lockdown message, Lockdown all clear message. Only one message can be played at a time. Messages are played at a max sound pressure level of 91dB(A). LD-WL8-0V devices are pre-configured with 3 default messages however messages can be customised as required.

Well proven adaptive radio signal processing algorithms are used within the device along with self-optimising wireless amplitude and frequency technology provide the highest levels of life safety and system reliability.

The LD-WL8-OV is monitored for communication, tamper and low battery voltage fault states and will activate a failsafe output module (LD-WL8-OUTFS) on the wireless system when a fault exists. An LED status indicator is provided on the on the top of the device, in default setting this LED will be off in Standby mode. The LED can be configured to flash green to indicate Standby mode and yellow to indicate a fault state if required, however this will reduce the battery life.

Primary and secondary batteries within the device are fully monitored for low voltage conditions, a low voltage fault will activate the failsafe output module to provide a fault output on the Kentec Wireless Lockdown system.

The Kentec Wireless Lockdown Notification System provides the broadcasting of clear and concise voice messaging to building/site occupants in the event of an emergency which requires Lockdown of the building/site. The system provides manual activation and broadcast of voice messages for Lockdown activation, covert lockdown activation, and All Clear events.

The Wireless Lockdown Notification System is based on the established K-Mesh Wireless Fire Detection product range with minor modifications in functionality to meet the requirements for Lockdown notification. This provides users confidence in the performance and reliability of the system.
