The LD-WL8-OUT is a wireless Single Channel Output Module used as part of the Wireless Lockdown Notification System to indicate to other equipment when a message is playing. Each output unit is allocated to pre-configured addresses on the LD-WL8-TRH translator. The addresses are allocated accordingly:

• Address 4 - Operates when message 1 is played.
• Address 5 - Operates when message 2 is played.
• Address 6 - Operates when message 3 is played.

Compatible with the LD-WL8-TRH Lockdown Translator and LD-WL8-EXP Lockdown Expander modules, the LD-WL8-OUT provides a switched voltage output to drive an Auxiliary relay. It is recommended to use the LD-WL8-OUT in conjunction with the Identifire Auxiliary Relay Unit. The Auxiliary Relay Unit provides a Volt Free Changeover output rated 5 A @ 30 VDC or 8 A @ 230 VAC.

This output can then be used to signal which message is being played across the lockdown system to other monitoring equipment. The LD-WL8-OUT is monitored for communication, tamper and low battery voltage fault states and will activate a failsafe output module (LD-WL8-OUTFS) when a fault exists. An LED status indicator is provided on the Output Module, in default setting this LED will be off in Standby mode and will only indicate when the output is active by flashing red. The LED can be configured to flash green to indicate Standby mode and yellow to indicate a fault state if required, however this will reduce the battery life.

Where additional space is required for installation of cables etc. back-box KM-BBOX-01 is available.

The Wireless Lockdown Notification System is based on the established K-Mesh Wireless Fire Detection product range with minor modifications in functionality to meet the requirements for Lockdown notification. This provides users confidence in the performance and reliability of the system.
