The EPOCBEACON is an ultra-low power Bluetooth beacon tag specifically designed for indoor industrial location applications. Built on advanced Bluetooth Low Energy 4.2 technology and implemented by Scope Communications, this compact beacon delivers excellent radio performance whilst maintaining exceptionally long battery life for continuous operation in demanding environments.

When paired with the EPOC-BLU Critical Alert Responder, the EPOCBEACON creates a comprehensive indoor location tracking system. Each time the EPOC-BLU device detects a new beacon, it automatically updates its location reference. When users send alert messages, the stored beacon location data is seamlessly integrated into the transmission, providing immediate positional awareness for emergency responders.

The EPOCBEACON system offers remarkable flexibility for industrial applications. The beacons can be programmed to support automatic tracking functionality, where the EPOC-BLU device transmits location updates every time a new beacon is discovered. This capability makes it ideal for monitoring lone workers across building sites, large farmyards, industrial facilities, and similar environments where precise indoor positioning is critical for safety and operational efficiency.

Configuration is straightforward through a dedicated mobile application that allows administrators to set power ranges from typically a few metres up to 20 metres, providing precise control over coverage areas for each location zone.
