SAS Caring Technology Touch-Curo-Key-LAM Touch Curo Key For Ligature Alarm Monitor
The LAU is situated near a monitored door, usually at hip height and under normal operation if one of the door ligature detection sensors is activated the LAU triggers the highest priority alarm event (LIGATURE), which results in a distinctive alert tone being sounded. The LAU is reset by the Curo at very close range. Touching the Curo on the depicted graphic will reset the alarm. The LAU provides a test reminder feature via flashing Cyan LEDs along with a door ligature sensor test mode which allows the staff to test each ligature monitoring sensor on a door for correct operation. This state is entered by manually touching the Curo on the LAU graphic. The LEDs will acknowledge with a brief white colour followed by yellow flashes every 0.5 seconds. During this modeon each door ligature sensor activation the LAU will flash it’s LEDs red 3 times whilst beeping its buzzer to signify a valid ligature event trigger has been detected. After the programmable number of test events have been triggered the LAU will exit test mode, log a visit for that ligature alarm unit and return to its default monitoring mode. Note the test mode can also be exited by either letting it time out or by presenting the Curo at the LAU graphic.
Active Monitoring State
This is the Curo Key’s default state and is indicated by the Green LEDs flashing twice every 5 seconds. . During this state if a ligature event trigger is detected by the Curo Key it will place a ligature alarm onto the staff attack system and flash its LEDs Red until the alarm is reset.
Once the reason for the ligature event trigger has been removed the ligature alarm can be reset by swiping the Curo staff fob device over the Curo Key plate. The buzzer will bleep, and the LEDs will flash White to indicate that the alarm has been reset. The Curo Key will now have returned to its “Active Monitoring State” with the Green LED flashing twice every 5 seconds. Note: In this mode the outside Green LEDs can be disabled, but the centre LED will keep flashing.
Network Touch Curo Key Ligature Event Monitor User Guide Active Monitoring Test Reminder State
The Curo Key is designed to provide a periodic test reminder which by default is set to 7 days. Once this timer has expired the Curo Key will move into its “Active Monitoring Test Reminder State” with Cyan LEDs flashing every second. During this mode of operation if a ligature event trigger is detected by the Curo Key it will place a ligature alarm onto the staff attack system and flash its LEDs Red until the alarm is reset.
Once the reason for the ligature event trigger has been removed the ligature alarm can be reset by swiping the staff Curo fob device over the Curo Key plate. The buzzer will bleep, and the LEDs will flash White to indicate that the alarm has been reset. The Curo Key will now have returned to its “Active Monitoring Test Reminder State” with the Cyan LEDs flashing every second.
Test Monitoring State
The test monitoring state allows the staff to test the ligature event monitoring equipment without generating alarms on the staff attack system. This mode can be entered whilst the Curo Key is in it “Active Monitoring State” or “Active Monitoring Test Reminder State”. To enter this mode, present the Curo staff fob device over the Curo Key plate whilst no alarm is active on it. The buzzer will bleep, and the LEDs will flash White once before beginning to flash Yellow every second.
The ligature alarm monitoring equipment for that Curo Key’s door can now be tested. On each activation of the ligature monitoring equipment the Curo Key will bleep and flash its LEDs Red 3 times. After a pre-programmed number of successful tests (default = 7), the Curo Key will exit this mode and log a visit event onto the staff attack system, before returning to its “Active Monitoring State”. The “Test Monitoring State” can also be exited at any time by either swiping the Curo staff fob over the Curo Key plate or simply letting it time out after 30 seconds. If either occurs then the buzzer will beep, and the White LEDs will flash once before it returns to its previous state, that being either “Active Monitoring State” or “Active Monitoring Test Reminder State”. Note: Only on successful completion of the test sequence will the periodic test reminder timer be reset.
