The 6000/16ZAI is a FAST™ Addressable 16 Way Detector Zone Input / Sounder Circuit Output Interface Unit with 16 monitored detection circuits suitable for use with Protec 3000 series detection devices (Line continuity) and 16 programmable sounder circuits, each rated at 24vdc 1A max. Total combined dependent on external 24 VDC power supply.

An auxiliary 24vdc is required. A loop short circuit isolator is incorporated to isolate a short circuit fault on either the incoming or outgoing loop cable.

Each unit is designed to operate in conjunction with a control panel which utilises a 2-wire screened cable to connect each 16-way ZAI interface and other fire alarm devices onto a loop wiring configuration. Maximum number of addressable fire alarm devices per loop is 191 for the 6300 Control panel and 127 for the 6400.

This interface is ideal for many applications, such as sending voltage-free signals to external equipment for interaction with Protec Fire Detection addressable fire detection systems.

The 6000 / 16ZAI module is fully approved and certified by the latest European standards EN54 part 17 and 18. It is quick and easy to install inside boxes, cabinets and panels according to project needs. It can occupy up to a total of 16 addresses in the loop.
