Morley 795-004-001 ZX RS485 Communication Module

RS 485 Communication module which is used with the Morley ZX panel range. The module will allow the ZX panel to communicate with peripheral panels such as repeater panels.

The serial communication modules are plug-in expansion modules  for use in the ZX series intelligent multi-protocol fi re alarm control  panels. These optional modules add optically isolated communication ports to the ZX series control panels to allow serial communications for networking and peripherals. 

The RS485 communication module supports two-wire RS485 multi-drop transmission between networked ZX2Se/ZXSe/ZX5Se control panels, between ZX series control panels and repeaters or between ZX series control panels and serial peripheral devices. Using a shielded twisted pair cable with a cross sectional area of minimum 0.5 mm2 (24 AWG), the RS485 module will support cable/bus lengths of 1,200 meters (3937 ft) per channel.
