Sigma ZSi Status units are designed to provide status indications and limited controls remotely from the ZXT extinguishing control panels. These can be located at additional access and egress points to the risk area. High brightness LEDs show the current status of the extinguishing system, along with a seven‑segment LED display notifying countdown to release.

10 LED status indicators provide additional Zonal fire LEDs, common fault LED and local warning buzzer.

ZSi status indicators are available with the following limited control functionality:

• Auto/Manual keyswitch: Enables the extinguishing activation mode to be switched between Auto/Manual and Manual only.
• Manual Release: Protected pushbutton which manually activates the gas release sequence. Dual‑action operation prevents accidental operation.

Status units communicate with the ZXT across a monitored 2‑wire RS485 data bus. Each Status unit requires a 24V DC supply; a maximum of two status units can be powered from the Sigma ZXT’s Auxiliary 24V DC output.

A monitored auto/manual input is provided within the status unit for connection of door interlocks, allowing automatic mode changeover when the door to the risk area is opened. A monitored input is also provided for connection of emergency hold buttons, which when activated can temporarily stop the extinguishing release process until the area has been evacuated.

Weatherproof IP65 versions of the Sigma ZSi status indicator is also available for outdoor applications.
