The latest revision of BS 5839-1 (the code of practice for fire alarm system design and installation) insists all power supplies performing a mandatory function of a fire alarm system must comply with EN54-4. As such, any power supply controlling a beam detector, auto dial unit, fail secure door system, digital communicator, and auxiliary sounder system must meet this standard. C-TEC's new range of cost-effective EN54-4 switch-mode power supplies will include a host of user and installer friendly features.
