Aritech IU2080C Sounder Module with Mounting Box

The IU2080C is an intelligent 2000 series, addressable supervised output unit designed for efficient control of notification devices or any ancillary equipment that requires supervision. It is compatible with all fire alarm control panels that support the 2000 series protocol. The high output power available from the IU2080C ensures meeting most requirements for signalling devices in any fire alarm system.

Operation

The IU2080C utilizes an advanced digital data communications protocol that ensures the integrity of the data communication with extensive error correction algorithms. It ensures system reliability with continuous supervision and monitoring of the output circuit for open or short circuit conditions, as well as monitoring of the input auxiliary power supply for low voltage or fault conditions. The output circuit supports a continuous or pulsing output that significantly simplifies meeting requirements for differentiation of audible alarms for different alarm circumstances.

Installation

The IU2080C loop address is set with a simple decimal rotary dial and is non-volatile - the address is not lost in the event of a power outage. The module is simply connected to a compatible fire alarm panel via a two-wire device communication loop that carries both data and operating power to the module. The indicating circuit is powered via a auxiliary power supply.

Programmability

The operation of the IU2080C is fully configurable from the CIE (control panel) allowing for powerful and extremely flexible output configuration capabilities.
