Aritech IU2055C 2000 Series 2-Wire Zone Monitor Unit with Mounting Box

The IU2055C is and addressable, 2000 Series two-wire zone monitor designed to provide an interface between conventional fire detectors and addressable series 2000/1200 fire panels. The IU2055C enables the addressable panel to monitor the presence and operation of up to 20 conventional detectors in standard or intrinsically safe configurations.

Application

The IU2055C allows for the upgrade and inclusion of an existing conventional fire zone into analogue addressable technology. It supervises the conventional zone circuit for open and short circuits and monitors it for alarm conditions. Any abnormal conditions are reported to the control panel and are indicated on the IU2055C with a yellow fault LED or a red alarm LED. The unit supports alarm verification and reset by cycling power to the zone circuit as directed by the fire panel.

Operation

The IU2055C is connected to the panel via a two wire communication loop that provides power and carries control and input data. The module address is set with two rotary switches. The address setting is non-volatile and will not be lost in the event of a power failure.

The 2000 series conventional zone monitor utilizes an advanced digital data communications protocol that ensures the integrity of the data communication with extensive error correction algorithms.
