Aico Plug-in Strobe for Deaf – Ei178

Aico Plug-in Strobe for Deaf – Ei178

The Ei178 is an additional strobe light designed for use with Alarms for the deaf and hard of hearing. The strobe can be positioned in an area such as a lounge, hallway or kitchen, where the main alarm may not be seen.

This will prevent, for example a fire which started in a bedroom being detected but

not warning a deaf person in the living area. When connected to a strobe unit the additional strobe will flash when an Alarm is triggered. During activation the strobe light flashes on and o until the Alarm signal stops.

The strobe light should be fitted to a wall in a prominent position at eye level where it has the best chance of being seen. The Ei174 comes complete with 10 metres of cable with a plug (JST type VHR-2N) for connection to the strobe unit.

The Ei174 is designed to work with the following Alarms for the hearing impaired:

•  Ei169/160
