In large buildings, it's imperative to have a system that can allow thoroughfare firedoors to close automatically should an alarm go off. Magnetised units hold doors open during the daytime and in normal building use, but if an alarm is triggered, they release the fire door to close by itself.

We sell units for all applications. For smaller buildings without addressable fire alarm systems, a self-contained, sound-triggered unit will close the door when an alarm is sounded. For larger buildings that have addressable systems, we have units that are wired into the system for immediate release. We've fittings for wall mounts, floor mounts and arm mounts - everything you need to keep your fire door system safe and effective!

Fireco Dorgard works by listening out for a continuous sound of 65 decibels or higher. Once this sound has been identified, after approximately 14 seconds Dorgard will release the fire door and under the pressure of the overhead door closer the door will close, sealing the area and preventing the spread of smoke and fire.
